What to expect during your first session

Shortly after booking your first session an intake form will be emailed to you.  This may include relevant assessment questionnaires depending on the details of your referral.

The first one to two sessions will focus on getting to know you (or
your child's) history as well as exploring strengths, challenges and goals for therapy.

The formulation of your treatment plan is a collaborative process – you and your psychologist will work together to create a treatment plan that is focussed and evidence-based, yet at the same time paced according to what you feel comfortable with.

Subsequent sessions are usually booked on a fortnightly basis however this will vary depending on the treatment plan.

Please contact Alight Psychology to discuss session fees.

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid referral from your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist.
